Dear friends,

I am delighted to inform you that the Board of Trustees of the National Park Trust has chosen former Congresswoman Connie Morella to receive this year's Vento Public Service Award.  This award was established to recognize those in public service who have demonstrated a lifetime of distinguished skill, resourcefulness or innovation in the preservation of land, water or historic resources for the legacy of America.

The Award Dinner is to be held on April 24th, 2003, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the  Hyatt Regency Washington, Capitol Hill, located at 400 New Jersey Avenue, NW, Washington, DC  20001.

I hope you will join us at this exceptional event.  The parks are faced with challenging times and we need to thank and to celebrate those who contribute to their preservation.

Best Regards,

Paul C. Pritchard
President
