Buddy Bison™ in Maui HI PDF Print E-mail

He's Here Today, but Gone to Maui!

taylor-hawaiiAloha!

My name is Alexander and I am almost ten years old.  At Christmas my Mom and Dad took my brother Christopher (5 years old), my sister Sophia (3 years old) and me to Hawaii. We took Buddy Bison with us to see the sights. My sister even got Buddy Bison™ a Hawaiian dress and lei, so we let her carry it.

I love Hawaii because the islands came out of the Pacific Ocean from volcanoes, which is pretty neat. We stayed in Maui on a beach that has this huge volcanic rock called Black Rock. It is thirty feet high over the ocean and many people dive off into the Pacific and swim to shore. My mom dove, she was scared at first but she did it. That was pretty cool. The native Hawaiians used to think that if you dove off Black Rock that you would enter the underworld. But my mom swam back so I guess that isn't true.

We also saw these neat trees in Hawaii called Banyan trees. The branches grow diagonally and when they get too long the branches grow these dangling roots that help to support the branches. It is the biggest tree that I have ever seen. We had fun climbing on it. Hawaii is the Perfect place to be.

You could use your Buddy Bison to help reconnect a child in your life with nature. Contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we'll let you know how to get one.
