Walking Like an Egyptian... PDF Print E-mail
buddyegyptreducedOn February 5th, 2010 my Mom, Dad, Buddy and I went on a trip to Cairo, Egypt. As the plane took off, Buddy was scared of heights, but he got used to it after a while. In Cairo, we got to see the Giza Pyramids and the Sphynx! They were both huge, of course. There was nothing but sand and rocks around me. The stones of the pyramid were made of limestone. Just one of them weighs at least 2,000 pounds and five of them would crush an elephant. Buddy and I rode on an Arabian camel in the Giza Desert. We also saw horses, and stray cats and dogs. Buddy was very hot since he has a lot of hair. It felt very dry and sand would come up when the wind kicked in. My turban protected my eyes from the sand. Camels have long eyelashes to protect their eyes from the wind. I learned that there are two kinds of camels: Arabian and Egyptian. Egyptian camels like to bite and are much stronger than Arabian camels. Buddy and I enjoyed the wave pool at the hotel and also made a sand castle. We spent a long, exciting week in Egypt. buddysphinx
