September 28th is National Public Lands Day

National Public Lands Day 2013 celebrates its 20th anniversary. Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort for public lands.  This day keeps the promise of the Civilian Conservation Corps that worked from 1933-1942 to preserve and protect America’s natural heritage. The day will inspire thousands of people across the country to complete service. Visit NPLD’s website to join other volunteers in your community this weekend!
