Monthly
message from
NPT President, Paul Pritchard

September 2004

People are
always asking me what's happening to our
parks. So, I decided to gather my thoughts
each month and present them in a short
letter. This is the first of what I hope
will be one of your favorite links on our
site. All I ask of you is to give me your
reactions!
Every park
we preserve, every plot of land we donate,
and all the wildlife we protect has a
story behind it, something that made us
want to get involved, something unique.
Each month, I want to give
you a “behind the scenes” look at the
daily functions of NPT. We could simply
list our accomplishments on the web, but I
have found that sometimes, our most
successful moments aren’t necessarily the
end results, but the long road to
achieving them.
These are
the stories I want to share with you. I
hope you will enjoy hearing about our
adventures as much as I am proud of
talking about them.
Tune in next
month to learn about the stories behind
some of our recent projects, including a
land dispute in Florida and a new park
addition in the Virgin Islands.
Our members
are also an important way we keep up on
the condition of our parks. If you visited
a park this summer and want to bring any
problem to our attention, please email me
at
paul@parktrust.org . Until then . . .
Best
regards,

Paul
