Preserve Voted One of 8 Kansas Wonders | Press Release

Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve was honored with being selected as one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas. Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius announced the results on January 29, 2008, Kansas Day, at the State Capitol.

More than 24,000 people from all 50 states voted to identify Kansas' most important natural or manmade wonders.

National Park Trust (NPT) protected this 10,894 acre property by purchasing it in June 1994.
