"Why it is Important to Protect the Tallgrass"

The First Place prizes will be awarded in each category, for each age group. Winners in grades 1-5 will be given a $50 US Savings Bond and winners in 6-8 grade will receive $100 US Savings Bond, donated by Farmers & Drovers Bank of Kansas.

 

In addition, this year there are incentive prizes for second place winners and teachers of students with first and second winning entries. If needed, grant money will be available for travel of classes with winning entries. Each winner and his/her respective English or Art class will be invited for a free specially guided tour of the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve.
