The mission of the National
Park Trust’s Park Education Travel (PET) Program
is to enhance global understanding of
land conservation and preservation by studying
national parklands throughout the world.
Field
trips of small educational groups will offer a
special “behind the scenes” look at what
this and other countries are doing to preserve
their lands, their cultures and their natural
systems.
The program involves pre-trip
educational materials, meetings with park
officials, experts, citizen leaders, and
in-depth tours.
Proceeds go towards supporting
the preservation of endangered lands within
national parklands. To us, it is a
“win-win” situation. Not only will
participants have the opportunity to
experience the world’s greatest diversity of
parks and culture, they will be conserving the
future of parklands at the very same time.
