Bill Brownell is the former Chairman of Hunton Andrew Kurth’s Executive Committee and head of its Administrative Law and Environmental Practice Groups. His practice focuses on environmental litigation, regulation and counseling. Bill and his team represent clients in both the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Bill is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center and the Georgetown School of Foreign Service. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the D.C., Second, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh Circuits and various federal District Courts. He is a member of the American College of Environmental Lawyers and the Environmental Law Advisory Committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Among other awards, he has been selected “Lawyer of the Year for Litigation—Environmental, Washington, D.C. (2019)” by Best Lawyers of America.
