In partnership with NIPSCO, NPT has acquired 30 acres of land surrounding the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore Visitor Center. The land will be donated to NPS this September. Read More.

THANK YOU for your support and participation in National Kids to Parks Day 2013! This year’s event was our most successful to date!
More than 138,600 kids and families explored local, state, and national parks and other public lands and water. We hope you continue to get outside all summer and participate in healthy outdoor recreation at parks ---- and share your adventures with us on social media.
Save the Date: National Kids to Parks Day 2014 will be Saturday, May 17th! We look forward to having you join us for the fun!
